Christmas Eve
Happy Birthday Hunter!
Our Chubbas turned 2 on Dec.19. Its crazy that its been two years already. Hunter is such an easy going little guy. He makes everyone smile.Hunters favorite thing to do is eat-anything. He loves his 'TRUCKS'(his first word) and 'TRACTORS'! He also loves being outside.
The details....
Sorry not to post anything but pics with the boys, but honestly that is the best I could do yesterday. So here is the scoop! We went to the hospital at 7am on Wednesday morning and they started the pit at 8:30. I had contractions going on constantly through the last few weeks, so it was a matter of getting them closer. By 12:30 we got ready to go into the O.R-hence the scrubs on Mark- this was just in case they needed to take the second baby cesarean. Things went perfect- Tucker was born at 1:21pm at 5 lbs 10 oz. After the Dr. turned Levi he was born 14 minutes later weighing in at 6 lbs 1 oz. From where I was things looked great with Tucker, but Levi was struggling to breath. Before I knew it, they were taking him into the NICU. The nurse took Tucker and I into a recovery area and I was able to nurse him and snarf a sandwich down because I was soooo hungry. They then took Tucker to check him out some more and came back and Mark told me he had to stay in the NICU also. His blood sugar level was low. They got me to a room and I told Mark to go stay with the boys. He was very good to keep calling up to me and kept me informed on the boys. That was a tough couple hours sitting in my room, wondering how my boys were. Come to find out- Levi had fluid in his lungs and they were trying to get that pushed out with oxygen. They put an IV into the side of his head (they daid it wouldnt hurt him there) in order to give him a little sugar since I hadnt been able to feed him. At 6pm they said I could go down and feed Tucker. Once I was down there he nursed and they sent him with me up to my room. Mark left around 8:30pm and that was so hard for him to do. He felt a little stressed knowing he had his boy in the NICU and had that dang final the next morning. At 9pm I got a call from the NICU and said that if I wanted to come and try to nurse Levi I could. I was so thrilled!! I went down and could see he was breathing alot easier at this point. He nursed so good and was holding his own really well. The Dr. came in and said that we could take him off the oxygen slowly and see how he did, and if he kept his stats up then he could come up with me by midnight. By 1am they had him up with me. It was so nice to have my boys with me finally. Mark called in the morning and he was thrilled the boys were with me and he said now he could consentrate on his final. Things went well in the hospital. I wanted to get them on a schedule in the hospital rather than at home with 6 other kids. We brought them home on Friday after trying to pass the hearing tests 2 times each. Levi failed the carseat test and has to ride in the car with oxygen, and the both failed thier biliruben tests. But I guess there are worse things. Things are good here though. The kids absolutely LOVE them, and cant get enough of them. Mark is so helpful with everything and anything. There schedule is still working out pretty good, I feed them for two hours and sleep for two hours. Not bad I thought. We really are so blessed to have these little guys in our family. Its only been four days, but its amazing how you ever got along without them. Im so glad the Lord trusts us to have all these wonderful children in our home.
The boys' Bedrooms
Wednesday is the day!!
The Dr. thought since I am dilated to a 4 1/2-5 and 80%, that I could have these little guys on Wenesday. Mark laughed. He has a final tomorrow, Tuesday and also on Thursday. He is a little stressed, but Im sure he will make it through it. We will hopefully come home on Saturday and we will post pictures ASAP.
